Meet the Framer

As part of our continuing meet the team initiative todays focus is on our resident framers.

Mitrecraft - "How long have you been with Mitrecraft?"
Resident Framer - "It'll be 5 years this June"

Mitrecraft - "How long have you been framing?"
Resident Framer - "Oh gosh, since February 1989, so just over 20 years.....and i don't look a day older!!!"

Mitrecraft - "What do you like most about framing and your job?"
Resident Framer - "Seeing a satisfied customer and knowing
that you are the one responsible for it"

Mitrecraft - " Whats the weirdest thing you've ever had to frame?"
Resident Framer - "It has to be a Tarantula!!! A customer of mine had one
that died and wanted it framing. So I made a red velvet lined box frame
and put it in that..."

Mitrecraft - "Whats the toughest thing you've ever had to frame?"
Resident Framer - "Without a shadow of a doubt, I had a 6 foot one piece
flying suit in a 6" deep box...absolute nightmare. But the customer came
back again for other work so I must have done something right!"

Mitrecraft - " Whats your favourite framing tool/piece of equipment?"
Resident Framer - "My foot operated underpinner. I have never used
another one that can equal the quality and feel of it"

Mitrecraft " What advise do you have for framers out there reading this?"
Resident Framer - "Don't cut corners. If you're not satisfied with the
job yourself never let it out of the door until you are!"

Competition Winner!!

Congratulations to Mark and his team at the Mustard Seed Gallery in Cleethorpes!

We ran a prize draw from 20th to the 24th of April where if a customer spent over £70 before VAT they were eligable for a draw for a £70 credit to their account.

This was the first time we ran this draw and the take up was overwhelming! If you wen't involved make sure that you look out for the next time we will be doing this over the coming weeks! I'm sure Mark will be involved again!!!

Hi all, we'd thought that we'd give you an idea about everyone here at Mitrecraft as it's chopped and changed over the last couple of months as you all know!!

David
Owner

David has worked in picture framing for most of his life. His other company and the sister company to Mitrecraft is Tabmaster. David is a framer by trade and has worked the world over in sales and framing.

Sales

Mike started at Mitrecraft in March this year having worked as a branch rep for City Electrical. His background saw him working at a Nottingham based framing and photographic suppliers, where Mike ran the Lincoln depot.

Scott
Sales and Administration

Scott joined the team just after the takeover from the previous owners of Mitrecraft and has come to be an invaluable member of the team. His background is primarily dealing with customers and making sure things go smoothly. At Mitrecraft he deals with the order administration and is the cog that keeps the orders flowing.
